Parvati Kund glacial Lake near Sach Pass

Parvati Kund is a 4110 m high altitude glacial lake situated 2-3 kms south of Sach Pass in Churah valley of Chamba Himachal Pradesh. It remains covered under snow and frozen for 6-7 months of the year.

The lake is dedicated to Mata Parvati but there is also a temple of Bankhandi Mata on the edge of this glacial lake. Locals of Churah valley worship this lake and maintain silence or keep their voices low during their visit to this holy lake.

This lake is approachable either via Sach Pass or Satrundi which is base camp to the Sach Pass towards Churah valley side. Trek to Parvtati Kund is 3-4 kms from both Sach Pass and Satrundi and one can easily reach at the lake within 2-3 hrs from both the places. Best time to visit this lake is from June to October when the Sach Pass is open.

In this video I’ve shown trek to Parvati Kund via Satrundi and shown the other way too. I hope this video will be helpful to you for visiting this lake. But still if you have any queries regarding this trek please do ask in comments.
