Trek to Mahal Naag Dal | Churah Valley | Chamba Himachal Pradesh |

Mahal Naag Dal is a high altitude lake situated on the border of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Altitude of Mahal Naag Lake is about 4240 meter. The lake is believed to be the abode of local deity Mahal Naag Devta and every year thousands of devotees from Churah valley of Chamba and Bhalesh area of Doda, visit this lake during an annual yatra to take the blessings of Mahal Naag Devta.

The lake is small in area and half of it is under a glacier for most of the time. You can see full lake in late August and September and that is why the pilgrimage is held during this time of the year. So it is the best time to visit this lake but you can also visit here from June to September.
